what did cameronsbsbydoll ever do to u to make you block her? she’s takes so much inspiration from you only so that you can turn around and shut her out. what kind of person does that?

i told myself that i wouldn’t answer asks like these but my boundaries continue to be crossed when i’ve stated them multiple times in private so i really don’t care about how anyone feels anymore. to make things very clear, i didn’t just ‘shut’ her out, i had my reasoning and she knows what that is already. she’s still able to reach out to me through my side blogs, so she has a way to reach me if she needs to. now onto why i have her blocked..

not too long ago there was some stuff that was brought to light involving her being connected to a twitter account that supported israel and zionist propaganda. i saw the screenshots and acted accordingly to what i felt was right. not only that, but i was getting an influx of hate from people on her part saying that i, myself, was a zionist for interacting with her still, so i distanced myself and blocked her because i didn’t want people to think that i was okay with that whatsoever. that’s all. i’m sick of people calling me a bully for not interacting with her, and it really doesn’t help that she continues to answer asks about me knowing what they imply instead of just reaching out to me. i defended her twice just yesterday, along with sending her a screenshot of my response to a ask asking if it was okay that i posted it because it had her name in it, and to have a mutual of mine send me screenshots of the things she’s posting with my name in them is disheartening. all i’ve done over the course of the last month or so was delete and block anon hate mentioning her because i refuse to spread misinformation and fuel hate towards anyone. i’m not surprised that i don’t get the same decency or consideration in return. i’m over it and i won’t be talking about it anymore.

and one more thing about the whole ‘copying’ fiasco : all of my writings come from my own brain, i’ve never had to copy or draw inspiration (not that anything is wrong with getting inspiration from another individual) from anyone in order to sit down and write a fic. a lot of you (hate anons) have lost the definition of what copying is. if fics with the same tropes/content material are being published, similarities between works are bound to happen (she has yet to bring up anything involving copying to my personal attention, so what’s really the problem??). if you’re not putting together a side by side comparison with highlighted proof of lines and dialogue being the exact same, then you’re just talking to talk at this point.

I’m not even a supporter of HMC as a theory (I like it as a fun headcanon and fanfiction context), I wrote one meta about it concerning the show because folks were asking for a megathread, but, at this point, I might start out of pettiness (joking).

I don’t understand why this old theory is getting such vitriol all of the sudden, and I never came across the arguments I keep seeing getting thrown around (maybe I’m following the right people, and I said a thousand times already I don’t have Twitter and I don’t see the point of bringing here what’s happening over there). Who cares if folks have headcanons? Who are they hurting? I only became aware of this stuff because of that confession blog because I stay in my lane.

Not to mention a lot of these arguments are incorrect. A lot of Sauron x Galadriel shippers like Celeborn and include him in their fanfictions; a lot of Sauron x Galadriel fanfictions are about Galadriel kicking Sauron’s ass; there’s a whole different scenarios for HMC (I would even say the majority isn’t even “fetish content”). Why are we acting as if the Sauron x Galadriel fandom is a monolith where we all like the same things, have the same headcanons or interpretations? Even in this case in particular, there are Sauron x Galadriel shippers who don’t even like or care about HMC (I would even say I fall in this category a bit). I think it’s amazing this fandom keeps growing and accommodates every taste under the sun. If they are going to hate on the fandom, at least get their facts straight.

Each one of us is responsible for curating our own fandom experience, but the anti HMC crowd (+ anti Sauron x Galadriel in general) really expect an entire fandom to censor themselves to cater to them. Tumblr allows us to block tags we don’t want to see content from. I have several tags blocked myself, because I don’t want to see content from those tags. Why don’t these people just block the “Haladriel” and “Saurondriel” tags and be done with it? Even in ao3 you can exclude things (characters, ships, tags, etc.) you don’t want to see.

And, yes, @yolixpan; much of this hatred is due to the “Virgin Mary” angle (even though Tolkien himself denied it on his letters and called her a “penitent”). Many book fans think of Galadriel as some holy and symbolic virgin and mother figure, completely uncorrupted and untouched by evil, because the LOTR trilogy was written by Frodo, that’s how he sees Galadriel. But this is incorrect. We know from UT and HoME series she was indirectly corrupted by Morgoth because of Feänor’ words. She took no part in the Oath, but his words about far away lands awoke her lust for dominion and to have a realm of her own outside of the rules of the Valar. I personally don’t care, that’s why we have Tolkien scholars like Carl F. Hostetter working on this show.

I can’t with this Half-Maia Celebrían discourse anymore. And now even Tolkien himself is to blame, apparently. I could write a lot about this, but I’ll keep it short:

Celebrían is not real. Galadriel is not real. The women and folks who are being actively shamed because they dare to have headcanons about fictional female characters, are. We are not dealing with the misogynist and religious zealots of the Tolkien fandom here. It’s mostly women and queer folks who are being targeted by this discourse, which now even includes kink-shaming. It reeks of purity culture.

Sorry not sorry if we are blasphemying your “Madonna Galadriel” by having her fuck with the Devil’s chief demon in several contexts and scenarios, from which a powerful child might be born.

Anyway, I’m off to ao3 to read some Half-Maia Celebrían fanfiction.

Very off topic but I'm very intrigued by his relationship with Karen, I do not know if she has done it recently as in the last 2-3 weeks but she pretty regularly likes tweets about him and not just case related ones, it's one where she ain't even tagged and people are calling him the sweetest most considerate person ever or tweets about how no one ever is leaving his side. Or his little quirks or someone pulling his leg about him snooping in her mobile 😭 And it's very sweet to me because I haven't seen any other attorney to that and it's not an obligation that she has to do it, it's her personal account, she doesn't even tweet about Luigi on there, she goes on there after work hours on her personal time.

Ultimately I think it depends on what kind of sticker you're looking for! I buy lots of cute stuff from twitter artists (ieafy, deltamiyo n sugahri r some of my favs) but it's usually pretty easy to like start on a big artist on twitter and then usually twitter will push more artists the more you like posts like that !! if you wanted a list of artists whose sticker sheets I have i actually have a current list LMFAO here r the links if i have em!!

I also get sticker sheets from daiso on occasion and etsy's also a good place to hunt! if you have an hmart or you have an artbox nearby that's also a good place! If you're in BC, Canada they also have a store called "makers" where they rotate amongst local artists! There are usually sticker sheets there too

Also a good place to go hunting for artists is event/convention insta pages (even if you don't go) they usually tag all of the artists in the artist alley esp if it's more local and you can usually find lots of stickers n sticker sheets bc they're pretty commonly sold merch items. I also bookmark artists i've bought from. You'll find that you might like certain sticker sheet papers more than other but that's smth to figure out as you go. I like mine thinner even if it makes them non waterproof !! feel free to ask if u hv any more questions lol im always down to chat sticker sheets n all things stickers

Also I stalk on the shop app too + if you wanna see TONS of artists go on the anime expo artist alley section and go through them. There r hundreds of artists to check out on there ok sorry ill shut up

Hey could ads on tumblr not play music or sounds when I don’t event click on them? It would be great if ads didn’t constantly run while I’m using the app either. I’d also like it if ads didn’t just shove their way onto my screen on top of posts. I understand the need for ads, that they “need” to make money. But this website, this app, it’s bothersome enough to use with the constant horrible changes to the UI and policy that it doesn’t need literal pop up ads.

by the way when i say i like political references in music i dont mean vague jabs at current events i mean guys who sang about some us war crime from the 90s that never got news coverage or guys who put annotations of fucking wikipedia articles in their lyrics. i mean people who sing about politics with earnest, not in this semi-ironic detached jabs or a stupid twitter gotcha or worse, treating the subject matter of the song as something that's gone out of hand and they cant do anything about it but laugh or shrug. political music's only good when its passionate and the singer sung as if they could change the world by speaking their truth in art. i'd choose cheesy over smug apathy.
